Vilert is a little village on the north-east of Catalunya near the river Fluvià. It is part of the municipality of Esponellà and the county of Pla de l’Estany. The village is divided into 3 zones: the center, Caselles neighbourhood and Anglades neighbourhood.
It is said that there was a roman village called Sisterianus located in the old part of the village.
Les Cases de Cal Pastor are located in the old part of the village, in the main square. There are also Santa Maria church (s.IX), the Beu i Tapa fountain, some houses and narrow streets.
The village is in a valley with cultivated lands surrounded by mountains with leafy forests that along with the river Fluvià become an idyllic and beautiful environment.
If we walk along the river, we discover a lock, a little bridge ( the “passallís”) and a wide variety of fauna and flora. The surroundings of the river Fluvià has a special charm.
In the municipality you can also enjoy good gastronomy and some little shops.
Les Cases de Cal Pastor are located in a privileged place, 15 minutes from Banyoles, half an hour from Girona, Besalú, Figueres and the beaches in Costa Brava, 45 minutes from La Garrotxa and 1 hour from the ski slopes in the Pyrenees and France.
